PENNY BANK

St Leonards Penny Bank resumed for 2018 recently. It will operate from the hall on Saturday evenings from 8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. and on Sunday mornings after 10 a.m. Mass. All are welcome to join.

RUNNING/WALKING GROUP

Runners, walkers and joggers are all welcome to come to the walking track at the Tintern Complex in Ballyculla­ne on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 p.m. The track is lit up and is a super facility there to be used day or night.

Last year’s leader from RTÉ’s Operation Transforma­tion, Mairead Redmond, is the driving force behind this initiative. Mairead would love to see as many as possible join her at the complex. For further informatio­n you can contact Mairead at 087 3151860 or alternativ­ely just turn up at the track on Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Bridget Browne, Ballinruan­e and Pat Ryan, c/o J Flynn matched three numbers and each received €200. The nubers drawn were 13, 20, 25 and 27. Next week’s jackpot will be €4,400 and next week’s match-three winners will share €200. Draw takes place every Tuesday night at nine o’clock. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.

CARDS

Joan Fardy, Michael Murphy and Mick Reville were the winners of the cards in St Leonards hall on Saturday night last. In second place were; Sonny Cahill, John Joe Murphy and Jimmy Cullen. Joint third were; Nick Doyle, Seán Colfer, Johnny Flynn and John Sinnott, Dave Murphy. Pat Whelan, Michael Kehoe and Seán O’Grady were the last game draw winners.

The raffle winners on the night were; Johnny Flynn, Joan Kehoe, Jimmy Cullen and John Joe Murphy. The cards continue every Saturday night at 8.30 p.m. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.
