Family events at Loftus Hall

LOFTUS HALL has some special family themed events taking place from March 24 to April 8, during the Easter school break.

Owner Aidan Quigley said the family-based activities at Loftus Hall on the Hook Peninsula are perfect for anyone looking to keep the younger family members occupied over the holidays.

The reputedly haunted house – which is the unofficial star of the gothic horror film The Lodgers which goes on release this month – reopens on Saturday, March 10, to the public for weekends.

‘While we will be conducting the family friendly house tours for our younger audience, the site itself has so much more the offer.

‘ The restored five acre walled garden will be coming into bloom, so there is an opportunity to learn about the horticulture of the 17th century, as the garden has been planted with flowers, trees and shrubs that were exclusively available to Henry Loftus when he took ownership of the house in 1666.’
