On December 15 every Nolan Transport staff member working in their Marshmeadows base was encouraged to get in the Christmas spirit and wear festive clothing and to bring in a donation for Wexford Children’s Diabetes Clinic.

Nolan Transport staff raised a total €231.10 for the cause. The parents support group for Wexford children’s diabetes clinic was set up by a group of parents to help support the children’s clinic and run activities, assist with education, form a support network and to improve public awareness about Diabetes.

They organise family outings, educational meetings for services not freely available such as psychology and podiatry. The volunteers also run a family weekend to show children and teenagers that diabetes does not have stand in the way of exercise, stress and having fun.

A spokesperson for the group said; ‘All of our events are run by volunteers and are funded through fundraising campaigns so we are very grateful to Nolan Transport’s staff for their generosity.’
