Significant cannabis seizure
A significant cannabis seizure at the Lambstown, Killurin home of Jonathon Kenny (33) put him in line for community service.
The drugs were seized during a garda search conducted on September 13, 2016.
The District Court was told that Kenny used to work on building sites as a younger man until the economic crash.
His mother died when he was young and he suffered from depression.
He would have used quite a bit of the cannabis for himself or given it to close associates with ailments or injuries, suggested defending solicitor Raymond Rowan.
The judge ordered a probation report on the accused with a view to making out a community service order.
