Collision put taxi driver out of business
THE aftermath of a road accident which occurred in Wexford back in November of 2016 arose at the District Court.
Unemployed taxi driver John Redmond (59) of 17 Inisfail Court, Newtown Road pleaded guilty to careless driving at Ashfield Drive.
He rear ended another vehicle which was waiting to turn right.
The judge was told by solicitor Tim Cummings that the collision effectively put him out of the taxi business.
His insurance premium doubled because of what Mr Cummings described as a momentary slip of concentration.
A fine of €150 was handed down.
