CHURCH REPAIRS

As you may be aware, Our Lady, Star of the Sea Church, Duncannon is undergoing repairs to the ceiling following damage that occurred some time ago. For the duration of the repairs, the church will be considered a building site and must NOT BE ENTERED, by anyone, other than those involved in the repairs. During the works, Masses will be celebrated, at the normal times but in the Star of the Sea Community Centre, adjacent to the church. Thank you for your patience and understand­ing.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Our next meeting will be held on Monday, April 9, in St Louis Day Care Centre, starting at 2.15 p.m. Come along for a chat with new and old friends over a cup of tea and a bun. New members welcome.

CHURCH NEWS

ST. PATRICK’S DAY – Saturday next is the feast of our national apostle, St Patrick and is a holy day of obligation. Vigil Mass is on Friday at 7 p.m. and on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

The collection taken up on St Patrick’s Day (and the vigil Mass) will go towards the Education of Seminarian­s in the diocese of Ferns. Your support will be greatly appreciate­d.

St Louis Day Care Centre is holding a Night of music and Entertainm­ent, with Pat Hayes and various artists, in Sláinte Bar Ramsgrange, on Friday next, March 16 at 9 p.m. – Free Admission – Raffle on the Night – All Proceeds in aid of St Louis Day Care Centre – Your support is greatly appreciate­d.
