Teenager placed under probation
A 16-YEAR-OLD boy involved in a series of crimes in New Ross was put under probation supervision for a year.
The teenager and his mother were present in the District Court as a summary of his offending was given to the judge.
The defendant was one of a group that made off from Apache Pizza without paying for food and minerals last May. He was also involved in taking €90 worth of whiskey from McNulty’s pub in the early hours of a June morning.
In August, he caused damage to a Volkswagen Passat parked in Henry Street when he kicked out at the wing mirror.
He acted as lookout the following month as two of his friends entered the Bakehouse in South Street and removed €35 from the till.
