Gorey Rangers were another Premier Division side to progress, as they saw off the challenge of Enniscorth­y Town 2-0, with Joe Bolger and Mark Woods getting their goals.

Courtown Hibs won an all top flight clash against Bridge Rovers, with Higor Garcez and Jamie Heffernan getting their goals in a 2-0 victory.

New Ross Celtic may be struggling near the foot of the Premier Division table, but they were too good for Division 1 title challenger­s Wexford Bohs on Sunday, with Eoin Rhodes (two), Alan Rhodes and Rory O’Connor getting their goals in a 4-0 victory.

Ferns United ‘A’ booked their place in the third round with a 6-2 win over Moyne Rangers ‘B’.

Martin Redmond, Ivan Meegan, Michael Andrews, Conor Jordan, Ciarán Murphy and Adrian Breen scored for the winners, with Graham Donohoe bagging both goals for Moyne.

Alan Flood and Craig Kelly got the goals for Wexford Bohs ‘B’ as they continued their good form with a 2-1 win over Gorey Celtic ‘B’. Gavin Goodwin hit the back of the net for Celtic.

Cushinstow­n were too strong for Caim United and ran out 4-0 winners, with Nicky Sinnott bagging a double and Rob Kehoe and John Cullen also getting in on the act.

Jesse Farrell and Ryan Murphy got the goals for Forth Celtic as they saw off Ferns United ‘B’ 2-0, while Taghmon United ‘A’ beat Camolin Celtic 2-1, with Joey Cardiff and Brian Doyle scoring for the winners and Dan Chisholm replying.
