DYLAN, DYLAN AND ME: Local writer Jackie Hayden will offer a fascinatin­g insight into the connection between poet Dylan Thomas and musician Bob Dylan in a talk to be held at Wexford town library tonight (Tuesday, March 27). ‘Dylan, Dylan and Me’ documents how music writer Hayden discovered the Welsh poet through the works of The Beatles and Bob Dylan who expressed his own admiration for the poet by adopting his name. Jackie will share his enthusiasm for both Dylan Thomas and Bob Dylan, reflecting on the connection between poetry and song lyrics in the wake of Bob Dylan’s Nobel Prize for Literature. Jackie is the author of ‘Love and Theft? Bob Dylan’s Celtic Odyssey’ and ‘A Map of Love - Around Wales with Dylan Thomas’. Admission is free but booking is recommende­d on 053 91 96760.
