BABY/TODDLER GROUP

Our friendly group will be meeting again in the Sunshine Room on Wednesday, April 11 (9.30 a.m. till 11.30 a.m.) when Clongeen NS resumes after the Easter holidays. The group is open to anyone from the Clongeen and surrounding areas – for parents, grandparents, guardians, childminders, etc. are all welcome and of course don’t forget the little ones too, from babies to toddlers. The cost is only €4 per adult which includes refreshments for both the adults and children.

This is a fun and relaxed group with loads of fun activities, craft and singing, where both adults and children can meet new friends. We look forward to seeing new small and bigger faces and wish you all a happy Easter. For more info, visit and like our Facebook page or you can call or text Véro at 086 1034878.

OVER-35S SOCCER

There was a six-a-side game last weekend after numbers were down slightly on the norm. The game ended in a win for the older boys as the younger lot seemed to be full of runners, but lacking in defenders, which is the core of any team. Dessie got another few goals which was enough to see his team through by a two goal margin. Butler was missing in action but should return to the fold this week after his travels – welcome back Séamie for hopefully some more enjoyable games throughout Easter.

Games take place on a Saturday evening at 6 p.m. in Grantstown sports complex – please turn up 15 minutes in advance. If any new comers would like to join, you’re more than welcome to come along. For further information, please feel free to give Dave a call at 086 8596627. The cost is only €5 per player.

EASTER RAFFLE

The Clongeen Ladies’ GAA Club would like the support for the ongoing Easter Raffle that’s coming to a close fairly soon. You can buy lines for only €2 each from players and in various locations in the parish i.ePost office, Anne and Markies shop etc. There are some great prizes on offer from our kind sponsors who are: Anne and Markies shop, Aroma Beauty, Foxe Hair, Paddy Reville. There include: Footie Golf, Easter Egg Hampers, Beauty Hampers and Bottles of wine. Thank you to everyone for their support.

QUIZ NIGHT

Don’t forget about the Little Sea Musical Society, who are holding the quiz night in Tír na nÓg in Wellngtonbridge tonight Tuesday, March 27, starting 8.30 p.m. All are more than welcome to attend a guaranteed fun night out so we look forward to seeing you there.

TEENAGE DISCO

There will be a teenage disco in Campile Hall this Friday, March 30, Good Friday night. The disco is generally aimed at first to third year students. Music starts at 9 p.m. till midnight and doors open at 8 p.m. to avoid the rush. This is a strictly no alcohol or drugs allowed event and at that age it shouldn’t have to be mentioned. In any case, this is a well supervised event so we look forward to welcoming you there.
