CAMROSS PASSION PLAY
The first performance of Camross Passion Play and choir, held on Sunday night last in Camross Hall absolutely held the audience spellbound. The wonder and awe of the three previous productions were certainly recreated and will continue to be, over the next three performances, Tuesday, March 27, Good Friday, March 30, and Easter Sunday, April 1, at 8 p.m. on all nights.
This wonderful community project has a total of 135 people involved in the entire production from performers, choir, backstage crew, costumes, make up, front of house, car park and of course the Tea Room. DANCING AT CAMROSS
The April dance will be held in Camross Ballroom on Friday. April 6, with music by the very popular Peter Burke. Dancing 10 p.m. to midnight, admission €8 including the tea.

CAROREIGH SCHOOL NEWS
Confirmation – Congratulations to our pupils in fifth and sixth classes in St Garvan’s NS who receive the sacrament of confirmation on March 15. Monsignor Dennis Lennon conducted the ceremony and all the children were a credit to themselves, their families, the school and the parish.
Presntation of medals – The girls Rackard league football team from Caroreigh and Taghmon schools who won the Roinn A title in the autumn, received their medals on Thursday evening last. Congratulations to all involved.
Mini sevens – Our hurling and camogie teams participated in the mini-sevens tournaments recently and though they didn’t progress to the next rounds, they put in a very creditable performances. Next up, Rackard league camogie and hurling after Easter.
Easter egg Hunt – Our annual Easter egg Hunt was held on Friday last, the day we got our holidays. All students had fun and many thanks to the parents’ council for providing the egg.
