GAA ACTION

The Inter. footballer­s play St Mary’s Maudlintow­n in the championsh­ip in Cushinstow­n on Friday at 8.30 p.m. if Wexford lose to Galway in the Allianz Hurling quarter final.

MODEL COUNTY DRAW

Horeswood GAA will be calling to houses around the parish in the coming weeks with Model County Draw Tickets. Tickets cost €50 or can be paid in three monthly instalment­s of €20, €20 and €10. First prize ecah month is a car and there are many other prizes. First draw takes place on last Wednesday in April.

COISTE NA NÓG

The under-14 Football Féile had to be cancelled last week and will now take place on Sunday, April 22, The under-17 hurlers will be at home to Monday the second against Gusserane. William Foley played in goal and Cathal Parker was wing forward on the Good Counsel first year hurling team which beat St Peter’s in the Leinster A final last Wednesday. Alan Parker and Cathal Parker have been selected on the county under-14 hurling panel. The under-eight footballer­s have been selected to play in Croke Park next week. Unfortunat­ely only 18 players can travel.

KNOW YOUR SPORT

Entry form for Horeswood Coiste na Nóg’s Know Your Sport must be returned this weekend. Forms are available from Neil Barrett in Henrys or committee members. Whoever scores the most points in selecting the winners of 20 sporting events will receive €500, with runner-up prizes of €250, €150 and €100,

EASTER CAMP

Wexford Coaching Office is running an Easter Camp in Horeswood on April 3 to April 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registrati­on online costs €20.

RACKETBALL LEAGUE

The final round in the Horeswood team of four Racketball League was played last week. All postponed games must be played by Friday the 30th and the top six teams will qualify for the knockout stage.

DISCO

There will be a teenage disco in Campile Hall on Friday, March 30 (Good Friday Night) for first to third years from 9 p.m. to midnight doors open 8 p.m. strictly no alcohol or drugs allowed. This is a fully supervised event.

SISTER ACT

Horeswood Musical Society presents ‘Sister Act, A Divine Musical’ from Thursday, April 12 to Sunday, April 15, in Campile Hall.

The talented cast of over 80 young people invite everyone to the society’s eighth production. This year’s chosen charity is Wexford Special Olympics Sports Club. Tickets can be purchased by contacting 086 0703257.

CAMOGIE

There will be an Easter Disco in the Indoor Complex this Wednesday, March 28, 6.308.30 Admission is €5 and fancy dress is optional. It promises to be another evening of fun and games for all ages. Katie Kehoe, Kate Foley and Kathryn Dempsey were on the St Mary’s camogie team which lost the all-Ireland replay last Saturday.
