Rosslare Rangers rule roost in top of table clash

Division 1

Rosslare Rangers came out on top in the big game of the day in Division 1 on Sunday as they edged out fellow title-challenger­s St. Leonards 2-1. Aaron Kehoe and Lee Donohue scored for the seasiders, with Seán ‘Mini’ Ryan replying for Leonards.

Wexford Bohs are also in the shake-up for honours and they proved too strong for Moyne Rangers at the weekend, running out 3-0 winners with Seán Pailing netting a double and Dermot Flood grabbing their other goal.

Forth Celtic kept themselves in the hunt, with a Ryan Murphy goal ten minutes from time earning them a 1-0 win over Shelburne.

North End United won a seven-goal thriller against Curracloe United thanks to a hat-trick from Danny Fitzpatric­k and an Ashley Houghton strike, with Stevie McGuire (two) and Gary Murphy scoring for the seasiders.

Ferns United got on the scoresheet through Martin Redmond, John Breen and an own goal as they drew 3-3 in Kilmore.

Division 2

Leaders Cloughbawn tightened their grip at the summit of Division 2 with a 4-0 win over Wexford Celtic at Sinnottsto­wn Lane on Sunday.

Gavin Murphy scored twice for the pacesetter­s, with Willie Murphy and James Dempsey also hitting the back of the net.

Second-placed St. Cormac’s went down 4-1 to an impressive Crossabeg outfit. Stephen Lacey got the goal for the saints but the hosts were much too good, with Conor Maddock, Theo Doyle, Dave Berney and Eoin Kelly scoring. New Ross Town got back to winning ways as they saw off St. Josephs’s 4-0, with Jack Foran bagging a double and Stephen O’Leary and Shane Murray adding a goal apiece.

Seamie McLoughlin (two) and Joey Cardiff got the goals for Taghmon United as they earned a 3-1 win over Fastnet Rovers.

Division 3

Leaders Enniscorth­y United guarenteed promotion on Sunday as they chalked up a 4-2 win over Gorey Rangers, with Conor Heffernan, Kyle Foley, Hasane Smyth and Jamie Fox (penalty) getting their goals.

Bree United hit Ajax Athletic for six without reply, with Enda Minogue, Dylan Dalton, Seán Cash, Noel Roche, Mick Parker and Wayne Dunne getting their goals. Elsewhere, Enniscorth­y Town and Shamrock Rovers shared the spoils after a 0-0 draw in their derby clash.

Division 3A

Leaders Wexford Albion got another win under their belts at they edged out Fethard Rangers 2-1 on Sunday. Jay Leniston and Jay Daly got the goals for the town team, with Jean-Luc Tubritt replying from the penalty spot.

Raheen kept the pressure on with a 2-0 win over Rosslare Rangers, with Dylan Whitty hitting the back of the net and Peter Finn arrowing a volley into the top corner of the net from over 30 yards.

Richard Murphy, Gerry Heanue and Lee Kehoe got the goals for Oylegate United as they saw off Rosslare Strand 3-0.

Rathnure earned a 4-1 win over Bridge Rovers in Castlebrid­ge, with A.J. Redmond (two), John Kavanagh (penalty) and Anthony Westnott scoring for the visitors and Paul McCleane replying.

Niall Murphy bagged both goals for Ballymurn in their 2-1 win over Rosbercon United, with Barry Ryan scoring for United.

Division 4

Leaders All Blacks continued their impressive run with a 5-1 win in Crossabeg on Sunday.

Mark Doyle (two), Adam Devereux, Shane Goff and Mark Whelan scored for the winners, with Alex Wilson grabbing a consolatio­n goal for the hosts.

Corach Ramblers were much too strong for Curracloe United, winning 8-1 thanks to doubles from Stephen Diskin and Mark Hayes and goals from Jason McCutcheon, Joe Sinnott, James Crosbie and Jaydee Cahill.

Robbie Reville, Fintan Mullins and Stephen Murphy got the goals for Carne F.C. as they saw off Camolin 3-1. Courtown Hibs beat The Ballagh 4-0, with Lorcan Rossiter and Graham Greene both bagging doubles.

Shane Breen hit the back of the net for Ferns as they earned a 1-1 draw away to Castledock­rell, with Paddy Kavanagh scoring for the hosts.

Wexford Bohs picked up three points as they were handed a walkover from Caim United.

Division 4A

Greg O’Rourke bagged a double and Jakub Konkel got the other goal for Gorey Celtic as they earned a 3-0 win over Campile United.

Bill and Mick Rigley scored for Enniscorth­y United as they beat Wexford Albion 2-0, while Joe Leckey got the only goal of the game as Tombrack United edged out Ballymurn.

Mark McDonagh and Shane Grannell scored for Boolavogue to earn them a 2-1 win over St. Joseph’s, while a Thomas Furlong goal was enough for Taghmon United to beat Wexford Celtic.

Division 5

Kiltealy Celtic moved a step closer to the Division 5 title with a convincing 5-1 win over Adamstown on Sunday. Lee White got the Adamstown goal.

Ian Hawkins, Mark Walsh and Niall Finn (two) got on the scoresheet for St. Cormac’s as they saw off New Ross Town 4-1.

Paul Carton got the goal for Camolin in their 1-1 draw with Cushinstow­n, with Ciarán Doyle replying. Ferns United hit Enniscorth­y Town for six without reply, with Dillon Shannon and Alfredo Barbu both scoring doubles and Adi Lupsa and Daniel Neagu adding to their tally.

Noel Roche scored for Bree United in their 1-1 draw with Killenagh Wanderers.
