CREATIVE EXCHANGE DROP-IN MORNING

The Saltmills and St Kearns Community Group will host its first Creative Exchange dropin morning on Friday, April 6, at Colclough Hall in Saltmills. This project aims to connect experienced crafters who’d like to share their skills with budding crafters wishing to learn from them. Makers are invited to use the space for their own personal projects, participate in future workshops and to create a group project. So, bring your enthusiasm and curiosity along with your own materials to Colclough Hall on Friday and have a go. The group will showcase their talent at a local event and, with that in mind, we are calling for craft pieces (six per person) to be included in our first event on the May Bank Holiday. Drop in on Fridays and find out more. The Creative Exchange Group thanks the Saltmills and St Kearns Community Group for hosting the weekly mornings and the Colclough Hall Committee for its warm welcome.

BALLYCOGLEY DRAMA GROUP

St Mary’s Hall is delighted to welcome the very talented Ballycogley Drama Group back to Fethard to perform ‘The Night Alive’ by Conor McPherson. This group claimed first prize in the New Ross festival this year among many other awards and will present this play in the allIreland competition in mid-April. Tickets available in Fethard post office for Saturday, April 7, at 8.30 p.m.

FETHARD ST MOGUE’S

The club had a very enjoyable celebration dinner dance in the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross recently. There was a large display of county, Leinster and all-Ireland awards on show and the party went on till the early hours of the morning. The celebrations are now over and while the footballers first round game against St Martin’s did not go ahead last week they may have a game next week depending on the county hurlers result. Tickets for the annual club and County Draw are now available. With €80,000 in prizes over three draws this is a very attractive draw. Tickets cost €50 each for the three draws or can be paid monthly also. This is a very valuable fundraiser for the local Fethard St Mogue’s GAA Club and your support would be very much appreciated. Ticket sellers will be calling to your door shortly or tickets can be purchased from any committee member.
