The next lecture of the New Ross Historical Society takes place on Thursday, April 19, in New Ross Boat Club at 8 p.m.

The lecture will be given by Dr Tom Dunne, Emeritus Professor of History, School of History, University College Cork.

Entitled ‘A picture of a Waterford wedding: what is going on in Daniel Maclise’s painting, The Marriage of Strongbow and Eva?’ the lecture will focus on the marriage of Strongbow and Aoife.
