However, Shelmalier­s showed plenty of grit themselves and they outscored their opponents by four points to one in the final quarter to claim the spoils.

Jody Donohoe kickstarte­d the strong finish with a good score from a prohibitiv­e angle, with two McCabe frees and a Brian Malone point ensuring a hardearned victory.
