The Symes Family would like to thank everyone who donated to the recent coffee morning in aid of the Rodald McDonald House. A total of €380 was raised, along with this money and sponsorshi­p money Amy received for her recent hair donation to the Rapunzel Foundation a cheque totalling €760 was presented to the Ronald McDonald House Charities last week.

CARDS

Winners of the cards in the hall last week were; Dave Walsh, James McDonald and Mae Dunning. Joint second were; Mick Reville, John Reville, Kitty Roche and Billy Shannon, Paddy Murray and Jamesey Wallace. Last game draw winners were Maura Cahill, Sonny Cahill and John Joe Murphy. The raffle winners on the night were; Larry Larkin, Maura Cahill, John Reville and Mick Reville. The cards continue every Saturday night at 8.30 p.m.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Linda Foley, Rathimney, matched three numbers and she received €200. The numbers drawn were 4, 9, 14 and 27. Next week’s jackpot is €6,050 and next week’s matchthree winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.

SLADE SWIMMING CLUB

Join us for our first official swim of the year this Sunday, April 22, 10.30 a.m. in Slade. Membership and club informatio­n will be available from 9 a.m. at the Hook Sub Aqua Club.
