VILLAGE HEALTH CHECK
We want to ensure that we develop Duncannon to its full potential and that involves the village looking well and have all necessary amenities available.
With this in mind, the county Council has recommended a ‘Village Health Check’ which is a re-run of an exercise we did some years ago. This is to ensure that we understand the needs of the community.
We are holding a public meeting tonight, Tuesday, April 17, at 8 p.m. in the Star of the Sea Centre. You are all invited. Please make an effort to have as many families as possible represented.

St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange, is hosting the annual Alzheimer’s Tea Day on Thursday, May 3, from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
All proceeds go to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Please drop in and support this worthy cause.
SLADE SWIMMING CLUB
Join us for our first official swim of the year this Sunday, April 22, 10.30 a.m. in Slade. Membership and club information will be available from 9 a.m. at the Hook Sub Aqua Club. Light refreshments will also be served here afterwards.
Fethard and Dunmore Lifeboats along with the Coast Guard and Kayakers will be on hand during the swim. A Music Extravaganza takes place at Stafford’s of Tulllicanna on Sunday, May 6, with music from 4 p.m. till late. This is a night not to be missed as there are a number of bands performing on the night with all proceeds from this unique event going to the Hope Cancer Support Centre, Enniscorthy. There is a weekly game of bingo being held in Campile Hall every Monday night at 8.30 p.m. in aid of the ongoing development of the hall, with prize money of €1,250 approximately being paid out each night with a rolling in house lotto and Snowball also being played each night.
