Europort and rail car parks revamp

NEW services will soon be available at the Rosslare Europort car park and car parks in train stations around the county,

In a new deal Apcoa Parking Ireland has teamed up with Iarnród Éireann to deliver updates and innovative improvements to all 67 Irish Rail paid car parks across Ireland, including Rosslare Europort, over the next three years with a possible extension of a further two years.

The new contract will see charges at Rosslare stay the same as the previous contract the company had with the NCPS. These are €1 per hour, €5 per day and €25 a week. There is also the option of paying €700 for a yearly fee.

There is no paid parking at Enniscorthy Train Station under the new contract while in Gorey the charges are now €4.50 for a day, €11 a week, €30 a month and €360 for a year. This is an increase of €1 per day and €2 per week.

However customers use Apcoa Connect to purchase their parking at Gorey will see the daily parking fee remain the same at €3.50 and €9 a week.

There is also no parking facilities at Wexford Train Station.

The contract, which went live on February 26, covers a range of services including the roll out of Apcoa’s cashless payment service Apcoa Connect Pay by Phone, car park management, maintenance of Pay and Display machines, collection of revenue generated through pay by phone and coin payments and the enforcement of parking rules.

Motorists parked without a valid parking ticket will be clamped and the release fee is €120.

Apcoa Parking Ireland manages all its contracts on the basis of local know-how, tailor-made technical solutions and a customer-oriented service.

Apcoa and larnród Éireann will be working closely together to grow the service offering to customers during the course of the contract through the use of new systems such as cashless payment systems. The main focus of both will be improving the customer’s journey.
