5K/10K FUN RUN/WALK

The annual Ballyculla­ne 5k/10k fun run/walk for children with diabetes at Wexford general hospital will be held on Monday, May 7, starting from the Tintern complex at 11 a.m., starting with regratatio­n from 9.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. Cost of entry is €10 per adult €5 per under-16 and family four €25.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Three lucky punters matched three numbers and each received €134. They were; Paula McGrath c/o Alan. Mary and Chris c/o Séamus Crowe and Jim Houghton c/o Rosie’s. Next week’s jackpot is €2,150 and next week’s match-three winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.

A vacancy has arisen on the community employment scheme in the St Leonards Parish. Area of work include the following; Care Taking, Environmen­tal Work; Grounds Work. There will be a Special Double Bingo Night in Campile Hall on Bank holiday Monday night May 7, at which prize money for 9 of the 11 games will be doubled on

LIBRARY NEWS

Bealtaine will run for the month of May and we have a great line up of events running in Graiguenam­anagh Library.

Every Thursday we will have cards and crosswords for anyone who would like to come and play with refreshmen­ts included.

Friday, May 4, and Friday, May 25, Classic Movie and refreshmen­ts 10.45 a.m. – Join us for the screening of a classic film for the golden age of Hollywood.

Friday, May 11, and Friday, May 18, music with Ann, enjoy listening to and joining in with Ann singing all the old songs don’t worry words and tea will be provided.

Natural Skincare workshop Thursday, May 24, 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. with Claire Williams. During this workshop participan­ts will learn all about natural skincare products and will make their own lip balm. Ring to book 056 7794178.

Graig library will gladly accept donations of Lego that children are finished playing with. We hope to run Lego workshops in the library in the near future. Thank you.

Our morning book club suffered at the beginning of the year with bad weather and some library closures so we are hoping to revive it starting Thursday, May 3, at 11.30 a.m. The book we had decided for this meeting was the couple next door by Shari Lapena. If you would like to join us just pop in next Thursday even if you haven’t read the book I guarantee you we will find something to talk about. Looking forward to meeting you all.

The Graiguenam­anagh Fianna Fail Cumann held its AGM in O’Sheas’s on Tuesday April 24, with the usual good attendance .Cllr Peter Chap Cleere chaired the meeting and the following officers were elected: Hon Presidents Jim Byrne, Billy Hoare, Michael Dunphy; Chairperso­n Paula Cahill; Vice Chairperso­n Michael Helly; Secretary Anna Dunne; Vice Secretary Sean Murphy; Treasurer Ann Cahill; Vice Treasurer Dan Malone; Youth Officer PJ Murphy.
