Stellar line-up in Wexford this weekend for Jestfest

JESTFEST returns to Wexford this May Bank Holiday weekend bringing the finest Irish standup comedians to numerous venues in Wexford town.

The festival will feature hilarious one liners, anecdotes and monologues from stellar comedians to make you laugh and make you cry.

The exciting line-up of Irish comedy stars such as Neil Delamere, Deirdre O’Kane, Dermot Whelan, Foil Arms & Hog and Eric Lalor will be joined by up and coming performers Enya Martin, Áine Gallagher, Rory’s Stories, Emma Doran and many more.

Both Neil Delamere and Deirdre Kane’s gigs have already sold out but tickets are still available for the rest of the performanc­es.

This year’s venues include the Dun Mhuire Theatre, the Crown Live, Upstairs in Macken’s Bar and the Vine Restaurant which will host the Vine Dine and Comedy gig with Gearóid Farrelly and Áine Gallagher.

Macken’s Bar is a firm favourite among the comedians, with its imitate setting you can get up close and personal with Neil Delamere, Eric Lalor, Emma Doran and the Comedy Crunch crew.

Dermot Whelan, Danny O’ Brien, Rory’s Stories, Enya Martin and Deirdre O’Kane will the perform in the Crown Live while Foil Arms and Hog will take to the Dun Mhuire Theatre stage on the Friday night. A full bar is available for all JestFest shows. Tickets are on sale now from the Box Office, No.1 Main Street Wexford and online at www.jestfest.ie.

Jestfest opens on Thursday, May 3, when The Comedy Crunch Takeover! takes place in Macken’s at 9 p.m. On Friday night Foil, Arms and Hog will be in the Dun Mhuire at 8 p.m. with their show OinK! while Improv! with Dermot Whelan will be in the Crown Live from 9 p.m.

On Saturday Rory’s Stories will be in the Crown Live at 7 p.m. while Eric Lalor and Emma Doran will be in Macken’s from 8 p.m. Enya Martin will be in Crown Live on Saturday at 9.30 p.m. with Giz A Laugh.

On Sunday Deirdre O’Kane will be the Crown Live at 7 p.m. in front of a sell-out crowd while Danny O’Brien will be there at 9.30 p.m.

At 9 p.m. on Sunday Gearoid Farrelly and Aine Gallagher will perform at The Vine Dine and Comedy while Neil Delamere will perform his sell-out show, Work in Progress, in Macken’s at 8 p.m.
