Cow Lane Lad hits an even higher level GREYHOUNDS

THERE WAS some very fast times recorded at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track on Thursday night as the second round of the April Stakes featured.

In heat three there was a superb run by Ballinaboola Luke who beat favourite Jaytee Geronimo by five lengths in a very fast 28.51. This was only his third race and he looks like having a very bright future.

The John Kavanagh-trained Cow Lane Lad has been in great form of late, and he stepped up to a new level in race four, the sprint, when recording a very fast 18.69 when beating Raise A Glass by three lengths. Cow Lane has won five of his last seven races and is hot at the moment for sure.

On Monday night the Trackside Diner Specials A6 final was run, and there was a good win for Aaron Butler’s Telex Brat who followed up her semi-final win to score by five lengths in a useful time of 29.16.

There was great success for Enniscorthy owners and trainers at Kilkenny on Friday when the John Doyle-owned, trained and bred Kiltrea Brian raced to a super victory in the €2,500 T.P. Weadick open 725 final.

The Red Mills Champion Unraced also featured with first round heats, and the John Codd (Enniscorthy)-trained Cushie Jet blasted his field to race home twelve lengths clear in a brilliant 28.55.
