CARDS

Four teams finished with 11 games each to share the prize money at the cards in the hall last Saturday night. The teams were; Jack Waters, Seán O’Grady, Michael Kehoe. Dave Walsh, James McDonald, Tom Culleton. Nick Doyle, Johnny Flynn, Margaret Cullen. Sonny Cahill, Kitty Roche, Jimmy Cullen. Winners of the last game draw were; Aidan Colfer, Carmel Kehoe and Johnny Colfer. Raffle winners were, Seán O’Grady, Dave Walsh, Joan Fardy and Michael Murphy. The cards continue every Saturday night at 8.30 p.m.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Two lucky punters matched three numbers and each received €200. They were; Patricia Conway, Cooleroe and Noel and Karen Furlong, Dunmain. The numbers drawn were 12, 15, 17 and 28. Next week’s jackpot is €2,600 and next week’s matchthree winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.

STRICTLY FUNDRAISER

The card games in Gusserane Hall tonight Tuesday, May 29, is in aid of the Gusserane GAA Strictly Club Dancing fund. With over €500 prizemoney on offer a large crowd is expected. Your support would be most appreciate­d.

HOOKED ON THE SEA

Hook Tourism welcomes all to Hooked on the Sea 2018 over the June Bank Holiday Weekend – a fun filled weekend of activities for all ages across the stunning Hook Peninsula. Entry is free with ‘have a go’ special rate on Kayaking, Archery, and Power kiting and Inflatable Adventure Zone. Free Pirate school and Face painting, barbecue’s and seafood specials.

PLOUGHING BOOK

The Ballyculla­ne Ploughing Committee wish to thenk all local businesses for both buying and selling their book ‘60 Years Of Ploughing’. All books are now sold which is a fantastic achievemen­t due to in no small measure to local shops and the committee wish to acknowledg­e this. Once again a sincere thanks everyone.

PLANT SALE

The Ramsgrange horticultu­re society plant sale is on this Friday, June 1, opposite the tunnel. All welcome to come along. Get those containers planted up for summer colour.
