Upcoming Events in Grantstown Community Village – Tuesday the 29th: Arts and Crafts/ Cards in the morning and Pongo in the afternoon. STOP FOOD WASTE
The Stop Food Waste Challenge is a programme that supports householders to reduce the amount of food they waste. Betty Kehoe from the Environmental Protection Agency will give a series of talks over the next four weeks, starting on Thursday, May 31, from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. in Grantstown Daycare Centre. The talks will include tips on saving from €700 to €1,000 per year. She will also give recipes on how to use leftovers, how to reduce your shopping list and lots of other Ideas. MOBILE LIBRARY
The Mobile Library will be in Grantstown Daycare Centre on Wednesday, May 30, from 3.10 p.m. to 3.40 p.m. If you would like to join, membership is free. You can pick up an application form here in Grantstown Daycare Centre. It’s not just books you can borrow from Wexford Library, there are eBooks and eAudiobooks also. If you’re already a library member, you can collect a reserved book from the Mobile Library.

Arthur ‘Barney’ Sweetman was Guess the score winner for the Dublin/Wexford match. Thanks to everyone who bought an envelope. The junior ladies’ football had a great championship match over Horeswood on Tuesday evening last in Sunny Grantstown. Final score of B/B 9-06 h/w 1-12. Fair play ladies keep up the good work. While on the other pitch the under-13 boys’ football squad had a good win over Blackwater. Well done, boys.

The Creative Exchange Group meets in Colclough Hall, Saltmills each Friday from 10 a.m. It is a drop in creative experience for those interested in working on personal projects and participating in group work. Hosted by the Saltmills St Kearns Community Group and supported by Colclough Hall Committee. We are now accepting donations of fabric, wools, threads and buttons to develop projects.
