Relay for Life fashion show

-

TEAM ACCESS 2000, in Wexford, is organising a fashion show in aid of this year’s Relay for Life event and is encouraging everyone in the community to go along and support it.

The fashion show will take place on Thursday, June 14, at 7 pm in Wexford County Council’s offices in Carricklawn.

It promises to be a night of great fun with all garments being auctioned off at fantastic value on the night. They will be showcased by enthusiastic models who will be new to the catwalk.

The organisers told this newspaper that free tea and coffee will be served and thanks to the generosity of people and businesses in Wexford there will be a number of very attractive spot prizes on offer.

Tickets for the event are priced €10 - inclusive of entry to the spot-prize draw.

Relay for Life is a massive community event that celebrates those who have survived cancer or are dealing with the illness.

It also remembers those who have lost their battle with the disease and encourages the community in general to fight back by raising awareness about the best preventative measures to take to minimise the risk of getting the illness.

The overall aim of the initiative, which this year will take place in July, is to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society.
