Dempsey is unstoppable MOTORSPORT

-

LOCAL RACER Kevin Dempsey is taking the Dunlop Masters in Mondello by storm this season.

With three meetings having already taken place, and with three races per meeting, Kevin now has nine wins out of nine.

Riding his production twin motorcycle with pure class, he looks unstoppable and is now looking forward to the next race meeting on June 16 and 17.

Another local racer, Graham Kennedy, usually seen on the road racing circuit, took to Mondello on May 26 and 27 to get some track time and sharpen his mind in preparation for his next road event. He took fifth, sixth and seventh places

Sidecar team Mark Codd and Liam Gordon had great weekends at the last two meetings in April and May, taking a fourth and two wins in April, and two seconds and a third in May. They’re currently in second place in the championship.

At the recent Masters round, the sidecar teams held a lap of honour for Aidan Browne who tragically died in a motorcycle accident recently.

Aidan was also a great sidecar passenger, having raced abroad and also competed in the Isle Of Man T.T.

He was lining up a trip to race the Pikes Peak in Colorado, America, when tragedy struck. The tribute was done to raise funds to support Aidan’s family, and it was a very sombre event.
