GOLF CLASSIC – St James’ GAA will be running their bumper weekend of fundraising activities starting with their annual golf classic in the New Ross Golf Club on July 13 – A team of four costs €140 including a post-round dinner. BARN DANCE – The day after the golf, July 14, they will be having their ‘ much anticipated’ barn dance in its new location, Clonsharragh. Get your check shirts and cowboy hats ready because this is an event not to be missed. Music on the night will be by the Gentlemen Callers and DJ afterwards. Tickets cost €10 and can be bought in Flood’s Centra, Ramsgrange. Hope to see you there.
LOTTO – This week’s lotto jackpot is €5,600 and the draw will take place on the evening of Tuesday, June 12. Lotto tickets are €2 each and can be purchased from committee members and in local shops and pubs.
KNOCK PILGRIMAGE

COCKLESHELL ART ROOM
We are now open on Main Street, Duncannon from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Six days a week (closed on Wednesdays). We are delighted that we are currently showing the works of Deirdre Burke, Dublin; Maura M Clarke, Dublin; Eileen Cloney, Fethardon-Sea; Anne McLeod, Wexford; Trudi Doyle, Carlow; Lar Joyce, Co. We are also exhibiting photographs from ‘Duncannon in the Olden Times’ series. Our Tea Cup Candles are by Sarah’s Boutique Candles in Russborough House, Co. Wicklow and our Fairy Cottages are by Dawn at Craft Central, New Ross.
We are also very happy to be celebrating 20 years of the Cockleshell Art Project on a Voluntary Basis.
SOCIAL EVENING
A Social Evening will be held at Mary Teresa Redmond’s, Mill View, Foulksmills, on Saturday, June 30, starting at 4 p.m. and continuing on till 9 p.m.
There will be choral, traditional and folk music/singing with some comedy acts also. Children will be entertained with a puppet show, a bouncy castle and face painting throughout the afternoon. Tea and coffee and delicious home baking will be served on the lawn. Admission is by donation. There will be a monster raffle on the day with numerous prizes. All proceeds are in aid of Co. Wexford Community Workshop (Enniscorthy).

THE BLUEBELL CAFÉ
The Bluebell Café takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in ‘The Tea Room’ at St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange. The Café is open to people with dementia, their partners, carers, families and friends. You have an opportunity to meet others with similar experiences, enjoy a cup of tea and a chat and speak with health and social care professionals and other experienced volunteers.
