RETIREMENT MASS

A Mass and presentati­on for Mr Martin Kennedy, retiring principial of St Leonards NS will take place on Friday, June 22, at 7.30 p.m. in St Leonards Church. Refreshmen­ts in the school afterwards.

MID-SUMMER BAZAAR

The Mid-summer Bazaar will take place at old Abbey Garden Centre on Sunday, July 15, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in aid of St Mogue’s Church, Fethard-on-Sea. Those interested in booking a stand please contact Claire at 087 7759130.

COUNTRY MARKET

Country market continues every Saturday, in St Mary’s Hall, Fethard-on-Sea from 10.30 a.m. to midday, supplying fresh vegetables, salad, herbs, plants, baking, chocolates, crafts, jewellery, prints and more.

VEGGIE GROUP

The Ballyculla­ne Organic Veggie group would like to thank all those who came along to support the annual plant sale in the village hall in May. Once again we had a good turn out and the profits enable us to fund the groups activities throughout the year. If you are interested in growing/ eating organicall­y grown vegetables why not join us on a Tuesday evening between 6.30-8.30 behind the Ballyculla­ne village hall. CARDS

Winners of the cards in the hall last week were; David Murphy, Georgie Foley and Brendan Colfer. Second place went to Kathleen Cadogan, Willie White and Luke Power. Third prize winners were John Reville, Carmel Kehoe and Aidan Colfer. Last game draw winners were Dave Walsh, James McDonald and Mae Dunning. Raffle winners on the night were; Jack Waters, Maureen Eustace, Brendan Colfer and Mae Dunning. The cards continue every Saturday night at 8.30 p.m.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Tom O’Dwyer, Boley was the only match-three winner and he received €200. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 21 and 27. Next week’s jackpot is €3,200 and next week’s match-three winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.

PATRONS

The annual Patrons will take place this year as follows. Clonmines Cemetery, on Friday, June 29. St Leonards Cemetery on Sunday, July 1, at midday. Mass will be celebrated outdoor weather permitting in St Leonards cemetery. There will be no 10 a.m. Mass in St Leonards on this day.
