BIGGEST EVER ADAMSTOWN SHOW

ONE of the biggest agricultur­al shows in the region is taking place in Adamstown this coming Saturday, July 7.

The 71st annual Agricultur­al Horticultu­res al, Trade and Vintage Show take place on lands kindly donated by the Cullen, Whelan and Redmond families in Adamst town from 10 a.m., when judging will com numerous classes in equestrian events.

A fantastic, action packed day, the show’s organising committee are leaving no stone unturned to have this year’s show the best ever. Thousands of people are expected to descend on Adams town for the agricultur­al,

horticultu­ral, arts, crafts, trade and vintage show. The show will feature also all the usual horse, pony and sheep classes, as well as show jumping and an inter-hunter chase.

There are also numerous horticultu­re, home cooking, home industries, arts and crafts classes and a plethora of competitio­ns of all interests for children to enter including a Best Dressed Lady competitio­n.

There are more equestrian categories than ever before, with perpetual cups and trophies to be won for the best exhibitors in all classes.

The standard of entries is always high in all classes and as always at Adamstown Show there will be a very keen interest in the winner of various classes in all the different sections of the show.

Vintage enthusiast­s will be in their element with the large entry of vintage tractors and machinery, which will be on display at the show.

The eagerly awaited parade and presentati­on

to vintage exhibitors will take place in the afternoon and there will be numerous trade, refreshmen­ts and food stands.
