Accused of drink driving twice in the one night

JACK GUINEY (25) with an address at 79 Woodside, Dodder Park Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 stood accused at the District Court in Wexford of drink driving on the double.

The prosecutions were taken by Garda Alan Hayes and both arose from his investigation on the same night last year

It was alleged that the accused committed offences at Parnell Street and at Commercial Quay on November 6 last. Guiney was also further charged with driving without insurance. The defendant was not present before Judge Bernadette Owens but he was represented by solicitor Lana Doherty who was granted a documents order.

She told the judge that her client was not in attendance as he was on what she called a ‘pre-planned trip’.

On that understanding all matters were adjourned to the court sitting of October 15.
