Driving licence was out of date

ALLOWING his driving licence run four months out of date led to a conviction and fine for Andy Berry (43) of 5 Raheen, Rosbercon.

The problem came to light when Berry was stopped at a checkpoint at Killahard Cross, Blackwater in December.

The lapsed licence did not invalidate his insurance cover but the prosecution went ahead at the District Court sitting in Wexford where Judge Bernadette Owens set a fine of €150.
