Driver pulled out at speed onto main road at Raheen

A DRIVER who pulled out from a side road at speed on to the main road at Raheen in New Ross without stopping was fined for his wayward driving and for not having a valid tax disc.

The white Volkswagen Passat driven by Michael Joseph Murphy (28) of 6 Bawnmore Terrace, The Maudlins New Ross came to the attention of a garda on November 2 last.

The District Court was informed that Murphy had 65 previous convictions which included counts of driving without insurance, licence or tax.

On this occasion he was fined a total of €800.
