PARISH FUN/FIELD DAY
The Parish Fun/Field Day will be held on Sunday, July 22, at 2 p.m., in the Cushinstown Church Grounds, with all the usual attractions including dog show, bouncy castle, barbecue, children’s races, bric-brac, bottle stall and more. Please spread the word and come along and your support is welcome.
Please leave any donations for bottle stall, bric-à-brac etc into the parish office or contact 087 9616251 for pick up.
CAMOGIE/LADIES FOOTBALL
Camogie tickets are currently on sale and a book of three tickets costing €5. They are available from any committee member. Thank you to those who have supported this so far and we would encourage all those who have not returned tickets to try and return same asap.
CUSHINSTOWN ICA
Congratulations to Cushinstown ICA ladies Catherine Lacey, Mary Devereux, Philo Whelan, Sarah Buckley with support from Rita O’Brien, who competed recently at the ‘special occasions’ Reopening of tea rooms competition in the Shamrock Hall, Kilanerin Co. Wexford winning the overall award.
Also first place awards for Catherine Lacey for her flower arrangement and Mary Devereux for her report on reopening of the tea rooms.
TERRERATH BINGO
Bingo is on every Wednesday in Terrerath Community Centre at 8.15. We would like to thank everyone who supports this event and are always looking more newcomers.
SPLIT-THE-POT
Tickets for the split-the-pot are at €2 and are available locally and will be drawn every Sunday in Cushinstown Church after 11.15 Mass.

Don’t forget Monthly Bingo the first Sunday of every month. This will be held in the Horse and Hound and is held in Aid of St Mary’s Church Cushinstown.
SEISIUN
Danescastle Music Group will host Seisiun in Horse and Hound, Ballinaboola on Tuesday evenings at 8.30 during July and August. An evening of traditional music, song and dance. Come and enjoy a great evening’s entertainment for all the family. than 5 times didn’t make it easy. Balls were lost, some felt it a challenging course and loved it, some said the going was tough. Nevertheless it was enjoyed by all. The tea and baking by Anne O Grady was in great demand when we returned to the clubhouse. Thanks Anne.

Match play is progressing nicely with semi final to be finished by August 5. recently of Claire O’Hanlon of Gusserane and David Liston of Kerry. Claire is the third daughter of Anne and the late Tommy O’Hanlon. The happy couple are wished nothing but the best for their future life together. Among the congregation were multiple Kerry all-Ireland medal winners, Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston (father of the groom) and his former Kerry teammate and clubmate, Denis ‘Ogie’ Moran.
VILLAGE WORKS
Civil works are progressing nicely in and around Gusserane over the recent good weather. The continuing works will greatly enhance our little hamlet once completed. July 24 – Ballykerogue and Ballybrazil; Wednesday, July 25 – Dunbrody and Kilmokea; Thursday, July 26 – Horeswood.
