Gorey-based designer to display work at CREATE for fourth time

-

A multi award winning Gorey-based designer will return to CREATE for her fourth year at what is arguably Ireland’s best-known department store, Brown Thomas on Grafton Street in Dublin.

Blaithin Ennis is thrilled to be among 24 designers that have been selected to participate in the six-week event by Brown Thomas fashion director Shelly Corkery.

The local jewellery designer is returning to Brown Thomas to launch the new ‘Kavanagh’ collection. Each piece is individually handmade from her studio in Gorey.

Blaithin is passionate about creating beautiful pieces of heritage and craftsmanship to suit a variety of budgets. She said she will be in Brown Thomas, level 1, every Thursday and Saturday over the coming weeks and will be happy to meet new and existing customers.

Well-known Irish designers such as Lainey Keogh, Mariad Whisker, Una Burke and UK based Richard Quinn, who’s fashion was worn earlier this year to the MET Gala by Amal Clooney, will feature at this year’s CREATE.

CREATE, now in it’s eighth year, is a display of emerging and established Irish talent who come together to show off their products. Designers are given the opportunity to showcase and sell their work in a curated space providing them with a retail platform within the store. Fashion Director Ms Corkery said CREATE gives their customers the opportunity to discover designers at the forefront of Irish design today.
