STATUE’S NEW HOME

The statue of the Blessed Virgin which was first presented to lower Rosbercon by the Farrell sisters from St Canice’s Terrace in 1952 has been moved to a new location within the park. Now placed on a plinth of cut stone with space left around the base for the planting of flowers. Shortly, the statue will receive a freshening up coat of paint and later on a suitable plaque will be placed on the plinth acknowledging the gift of the Farrell sisters all these years ago.

Plaudits go to the New Ross District Council for their ongoing work in tidying up Lower Rosbercon with new walls, etc, displaying craftsmanship of a very high standard in the completion of their work.
