The under-15 footballers had a good win last week against St Mary’s of Rosslare. The under-15 hurlers play away to Cloughbawn on Thursday evening, August 2, Throw-in at 7.30 p.m.
The club lotto draw took place last Tuesday night and the numbers drawn were 1, 2, 7 and 9. There was no winner so the jackpot for the next draw (August 7 in Taghmon) will be €6,800. There were six match-3 winners who share €200 between them.
Best of luck to our lads on the Wexford under-21 Hurling team at the weekend in the all-Ireland semi-final against Cork in Nowlan Park. Our Intermediate A hurlers are back in championship action against St Pat’s in Olygate on Tuesday the seventh at 7.30 p.m. Junior B footballers had a good win on Friday night away to Horeswood.
Both Junior B teams will play in District semi-finals over the coming weeks. Try to get to some of these games – your support would be appreciated.
ATHLETICS CLUB
3 of our athletes competed on the last day of the All Ireland juvenile championships in Tullamore and all 3 took home some silver. What an achievement! Brónagh O Hanlon took silver in the U18 hammer. Aisling Kelly also took silver in the U16 200m and Padraig Hore completed his juvenile era taking gold in the U19 discus.
Aisling Kelly also competed in the 2018 SIAB Track & Field Championships this weekend which took place in Grangemouth Stadium Scotland. Her first international vest for Ireland and also took home silverware to make the event even more special. Silver in the 4x100m relay. Fantastic achievement to our athletes.
