Chamber awards deadline

The deadline for entries to this year’s New Ross & District Business & Community Awards is September 14.

The launch took place recently at Creacon Wellness Retreat and was attended by a large group of businesspeople and community representatives. Now in their eleventh year, the awards are firmly established, attracting over 75 entries in 2017.

They provide business and community groups in the town and district an opportunity to share their inspiring stories and showcase achievements.

This year, a total of 13 award categories were announced. These include some firm favourites such as Best New Start Up Award, Small Business of the Year Award, Community & Social Enterprise Award, Professional Services Award, Social Media Award and New Ross & District Person of the Year Award.

The hotly contested Business Woman of the Year Award and Sports Club of the Year Award feature for their third consecutive year with the addition of one new category ‘ Best in Health, Fitness & Wellbeing Award.

The winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 20, in the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross.

To enter complete an official application/ nomination form for each of your chosen categories and return with supporting documentation to the New Ross and District Chamber office. Applications can be made online, by post or in person.

Businesses and organisations may also choose to self- nominate and are encouraged to put forward internal teams and departments for consideration.
