Adamstown is the place to be on Saturday for social dancing and music by Glen Flynn. Dancing and fun times await from 10 p.m. till midnight. Teas will be served. Also there will be a fundraisin­g dance for Sr Helen in Uganda this dance will be on Friday, August 24.

Music is by Philip English with dancing from 10 p.m. till midnight. Teas will be served. beauty of New Ross. Photos can be in colour or black and white. They can be of landscapes, shop fronts, monuments, flora and fauna, etc.

All photograph­s must be of high quality (i.e. 300dpi). All entries can be submitted to any of the credit union offices in New Ross, Bunclody or Ramsgrange or by email to info@ newrosscre­ditunion.com. The closing date for entries is Friday, August 31. The winning photograph­er will receive a €200 New Ross Chamber of Commerce voucher.

Marie Keating fundraiser

The Marie Keating Foundation will visit Tesco, New Ross, on Thursday, August 30, in the mobile unit from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. The nurse on the day will be Patricia McCarthy who will publicise their ‘Skin Cancer & Melanoma’ campaign. Informatio­n flyers as well as suncream samples will be distribute­d.

There other campaign is Your Health Your Choice. Many people believe that cancer is down to bad genes or bad luck but the campaign is highlighti­ng that four in ten cancers can be prevented through healthy lifestyle changes that can make a big impact on your health. in the Pastoral Centre on Robert Street on Thursday, from 11 a.m. to midday.
