Great result in Dundalk GREYHOUNDS

-

THERE WAS a great result for Wexford runners in Dundalk on Friday night in the semi-final of the €20,000 Bar One Sprint Classic, as both made it through to this week’s final.

The Nick Turner-trained Our Boy Junior got up to win while Broadstrand Kiwi, handled by Eamonn Moore, got up in the shadow of the post to grab the al- important third spot and put out hot favourite Droopys Steel, thus leaving the final a very open affair.

Any one of the six runners is capable of winning. The likely favourite is trap two runner Dorotas Del Mar, but the Wexford dogs are very well drawn and will make a bold bid for glory.

Final trap draw: 1, Ardnasool Jet; 2, Dorotas Del Mar; 3, Broadstrand Kiwi (trainer, Eamonn Moore, Barntown); 4, Madabout Paws; 5, Our Boy Junior (trainer, Nick Turner, Barntown); 6, Beslow Maximus (M).
