STONE BLIND STATE

Wexford’s rock band Stone Blind State are coming to the Wexford Arts Centre for a stripped back, unplugged show. Having had success with gigs in Dublin City and gaining radio play on Irish radio as well as airplay in the UK, USA and Canada, the band is bringing their music back to Wexford where they started. Starts at 8.30 p.m.

MARK MCCABE DJ SET

Legendary Irish DJ Mark McCabe, the man behind dance anthem ‘Maniac 2000’, is to perform a special DJ set at Benedicts, Templeshan­non, Enniscorth­y, on Saturday, August 25. It promises to be a great night with more than just a hint of nostalgia. Tickets are available from eventbrite. ie from €12.50 to €20.

KEVIN DOYLE IS NOT ELVIS

Kevin Doyle may not be Elvis, but he brings Elvis back to the building. He will be performing in the Ashdown Park Hotel at 9 p.m. The show is €25, and dinner and tickets are €49. Call the Ashdown at 053 9480500.

BREE BARN DANCE

The annual Bree barn dance welcomes the Kilkennys to Byrnes Grainstore, Bree village, followed by DJ, from 10.30 p.m. to late. Tickets for the Kilkennys are on sale in Byrne’s Of Bree/Spar Bree at €20 each. Early Bird tickets online Eventbrite €17. Ticket prices will rise closer to the event.

BALLYCOGLE­Y PLAYERS CELEBRATIO­N NIGHT.

A celebratio­n night for the Ballycogle­y Players victory in the all-Ireland drama finals will take place in the Halfway House, Ballycogle­y, at 8.30 p.m. We invite all past and present members of our group to join us on the night. RSVP to Brenda 085 7315211.

GARDEN AND COFFEE EVENING
