-

THIRTEEN performers are through to the final of New Ross’s Got Talent this Saturday at St Michael’s Theatre in New Ross.

A very high standard of talent was showcased, leaving the judges with a very difficult job. Following a tense wait the judges declared that they would to pass thirteen contestants through to the final.

Talented performers from across County Wexford competed in the semi-finals, which attracted a crowd of around eighty people to the theatre from across the county. Speaking afterwards to the New Ross Standard the judges said they were bowled over by the talent on display and spoke about how difficult it was to decide between the contestants so much so that an extra spot had to be allocated to enable two of the entrants to have another shot at stardom on the theatre stage this Saturday night when a crowd is expected to cheer on the acts.

New Ross’s Got Talent, the show runs in similar format to the TV show; `Ireland’s Got Talent’.

The successful acts go through to final which will be held on Saturday at 8 p.m. in St. Michael’s Theatre.

St Michael’s Theatre Director, Tomas Kavanagh said: `This show is a really exciting opportunity to showcase the many talents the people of our wonderful town have to offer, and also a golden opportunity for someone to take home €1,500.’
