Two nights of comedy
New Ross Drama Workshop is presenting an evening of one act plays on Wednesday, October 17, in Campile Parish Hall and on the following night in St Michael’s Theatre, New Ross, at 8 p.m. on both evenings.
‘People Like us’ is a comedy directed by Anne Kelly which tells the story of four ladies holidaying in a quintessential Irish caravan park. ‘The Death of Me’, directed by Kate O’ Keeffe, tells the comic story of John who having being called to heaven is returned to earth for one day to make a better imprint in the sand of life, while ‘Specter’, directed by Peggy Hussey, is a psychological thriller set in the front seat of a car and tells the story of what can happen to a man who picks up a stranger on the road in the middle of the night.
Group chairperson Edward Hayden said: ‘Many weeks have been spent polishing these plays and they are now audience ready. We have three very different productions this year and audiences are in for a tour-de-force of theatricality’
Tickets for each performance are €10 and will be available on the door or through the theatre.
