CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

Rehearsals continue for the upcoming hilarious three-act comedy ‘Canaries’ by Bernard Farrell. Director, Michael Stafford is doing a great job, organising his 12 strong cast. Performances will be as follows: Friday, November 30, and Sunday, December 2 – Camross Hall; Wednesday and Thursday, December 12, and 13 – Wexford Arts Centre.

We are delighted to welcome some local drama groups who also have one Act DLI Festival plays – On Friday, October 19, Wayside Players will perform ‘Riders to the Sea’ by JM Synge and on Sunday, October 21, Kilmuckridge will bring ‘A Tear was Flowing’ by Tommy Monaghan to the stage at Camross Hall. Along with our own festival entry ‘Lucy in the Sky’ by Tony Layton (amateur performance in conjunction with Stagesripts) these promise to be another treat in store for audiences.

The Camross cast and crew will not be resting on Saturday the 20th though – they travel to Kilmuckridge to entertain theatre lovers there. The festival play has now also been accepted by Rossmore Festival, bringing our entries to six – the maximum allowed.
