THE RED Mills Future Champion Unraced Stake continued at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track with six second round heats on Monday night.

Killer Bee again caught the eye in race seven (heat five) when overcoming an early bump and being checked off the second bend before getting into gear down the back to sweep to the lead up the home straight, scoring going away in a good 28.99.

Killer is drawn well in trap three this week and, with a good break, he could put his stamp on the stake with a very fast run if he can maintain current form.

The Boylesports Enniscorthy Leger final will be the feature event this Thursday night.

The €4,000 first prize will be contested for in what looks a very open affair, with little or nothing to choose between the six finalists judging by recent performances.

In the semi-finals last week, Obama Country came home very strongly to go past early leader Forest Rival in the home stretch to score going away, but he is not guaranteed to get as clear a run as he did this time.

His winning time was 30.22 over 550 yards.

The second semi-final saw a real battle as Flying Lola put in a bold effort to get the better of Hot Diggity Dog who went past her down the back.

Lola was not for giving in and she battled all the way to the line, only going down by three-quarters of a length, with Ballybough Murt a strong-finishing third in 30.21 (550 yards).
