Congratula­tions to the 1993 Cloughbawn senior hurling team, who were honoured in Wexford Park on Sunday, October 21, as the Jubilee team. The team received their presentati­on during half time of the senior game.

Well done again to Sarah Greene, who had the honor of singing the National Anthem for the second week running.

AID FOR OLDER PEOPLE

Local Cllr Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere would like to make people aware of a new grant aid which might benefit older people in the community. The Housing Aid for Older People Grant Scheme 2019 is now open and will be open to applicants over age 66 for a period of six weeks till November 23.

Eligible works include the following:Re-wiring, Roof repair/ replacemen­t, Window and door replacemen­t, Heating installati­on/ upgrade.
