AU­THOR Tina Cal­laghan’s de­but novel Dark Wood Dark Wa­ter has been short-listed for an An Post Teen/Young Adult Book of the Year.

The New Ross writer’s book – which is loosely based on the curse of New Ross by crutched fri­ars – is one of six books short-listed in the cat­e­gory. Tina said she was thrilled to be short-listed for the young adult fic­tion award and will be at­tend­ing the awards cer­e­mony which is be­ing held in Dublin on Novem­ber 27.
