THOMAS’S FABULOUS PHOTOS DRAW CROWD

- By DAVID LOOBY

AN ASSURED debut photography exhibition by Thomas P Walsh has been winning over visitors to Graiguenamanagh Library.

The exhibition was launched by celebrity chef Edward Hayden, who said Thomas has a great eye for detail.

More than 60 people attended the launch, with hundreds more visiting over the course of the exhibition.

Originally from Co. Carlow, Thomas lives in Graiguenamanagh with wife Mary and daughters April and JenYi.

Featuring images captured in the south east, as well as in Asia, the exhibition featured 67 photographs displayed throughout the library, including a stunning image of a Graiguenamanagh monk statue covered in snow outside Duiske Abbey, which was captured in 2010.

Thomas can often be seen out and about with his camera in Graiguenamanagh and St Mullins. He got his first SLR camera in 2008 and has enjoyed snapping places and people of interest ever since. His works are for sale in the library.

Thomas thanked everyone who travelled from near and far to attend the exhibition and the library staff for helping him set it up.

Everyone enjoyed refreshments and finger food at the launch.
