TEEN DISCO

There will be a teenage disco in Campile Hall this coming Friday night, November 30, for all secondary school students. Doors open at 8 p.m. and it runs from 9 p.m. to midnight. Strictly no alcohol or drugs allowed. This is a fully supervised event.

GUSSERANE CALENDAR

The Gusserane National School parents’ associatio­n are launching their first ever school calendar for 2019.

It will be on sale from December 3 for €10. If anyone would like to purchase one they can contact Ruth at 085 8000022 or Bridget at 087 9078904. The calendars would make a great Christmas present for all and your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

SANTA CLAUS

Kids’ disco, with special guest appearance from Santa Claus on Sunday, December 9, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Tintern Complex. There will be spot prizes for the best Christmas jumper and loads more fun is guaranteed.

CARDS

Winners in the hall last week ere Pat Ryan, Tom Corcoran and Watty Byrne. Second went to Brendan Colfer, Siobhán Doyle and Billy Shannon. In third place were Michael Whelan, Pat Whelan and Dave Murphy while the fourth spot went to Nick Doyle, Willie Kehoe and Tom Culleton. The LGD went to Johnny Flynn, Peter Stafford and Luke Power.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner last week when the numbers drawn were 14, 18, 20 and 27. There was no match-three winners either. This week’s jackpot stands at €4,550.

BALLYCULLA­NE VEGGIE GROUP

The Ballyculla­ne Organic Veggie group wish to inform you that we have now changed our meeting times. During the autumn/ winter months we now meet on a Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. and on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. Our vegetable plot is behind the village hall in Ballyculla­ne where we grow various fruit and vegetables throughout the year.
