CLOTHING COLLECTION

Rathgarogu­e NS parents’ associatio­n are holding a Fundraisin­g Clothing Collection, so now is the time to do a pre-Christmas de-clutter. Collection times are Thursday, December 6, 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, December 7, 8.30.10 a.m. at Rathgarogu­e Community Hall.

SCHOOL ENROLMENTS

Scoil Naomh Áine, Rathgarogu­e are currently accepting enrolments for 2019/20 school year. Please contact the school office at 051 424779 for an ‘Applicatio­n for Enrolment’ form. Scoil Naomh Áine, Rathgarogu­e are holding their annual Christmas Raffle on Monday, December 17. If anybody in the local community would like to purchase tickets please call in to the school.

CLUB AGM’S

Rathgarogu­e-Cushinstow­n camogie and Ladies’ Football Club AGM will take place on Friday, December 7, at 7.30 p.m. in the clubhouse. All players and paid up members are requested to come along on the night to review our year and put plans in place for 2019. All parents and those interested in becoming involved in our club with our girls are most welcome.

The Rathgarogu­e-Cushinstow­n GAA AGM will take place on Sunday, December 9@ 4 p.m. in the clubhouse. All paid up members are invited to attend and review our successful year and plan for 2019.

TERRERATH CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Terrerath community annual Christmas party will be held on Sunday, December 2, with entertainm­ent and music for the evening. Bingo every Wednesday night at 8 p.m., we would appreciate all support and all are welcome. Every Monday night, our new yoga classes have commenced in the community centre from 7.30-8.30. Open to both male and female. Friday nights – Irish dancing, and Thursdays – Slimming World. The local soccer club also has training sessions from five years upwards. The Hall Committee appreciate everyone using the facilities and help the upkeep of the hall.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Please remember split-the-pot is drawn each Sunday following 11 a.m. Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cushinstow­n. Tickets for the split-the-pot are available locally at €2 each.

SENIOR CITIZENS’ PARTY

The parish senior citizens’ Christmas party is scheduled to take place in Tir an nOg in Wellington­bridge on Sunday, December 9, at 2 p.m. Anyone interested in attending is urged to contact a member of the Gusserane church council to confirm attendance.

CHRISTMAS ROAD RUN

There will be a Christmas Lights Road Run on December 9. Registrati­on is at 4 p.m. and it starts in Campile. It will travel through the villages of Dunmain, Ballyculla­ne, Saltsmills, Fethard-on-Sea, Templeton, Ramsgrange, Duncannon and finish in Arthurstow­n with hot food served compliment­s of the Kings Bay Inn, Arthurstow­n. Come and see Ireland’s largest tractor on display in Campile at 4 p.m. All proceeds in aid of St Louis Day Care Centre in Ramsgrange. If you have any enquiries contact John at 087 2028450. CARDS

Larry Larkin, Brendan Colfer and Alice Gaffney were the winners of the cards in St Leonards hall last week. Second prize went to, Willie White, Luke Power and Dave Walsh. Nick Doyle, Seán Colfer and Johnny Flynn took third prize and Billy Shannon, Peter Stafford and Pat Murray were the last game draw winners. The raffle winners were Jimmy Cullen, Seán Diskin, Seán O’Frady and Michael Kehoe. The cards continue every Saturday night at 8.30 p.m. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

SYMPATHY

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Two people matched three numbers and each reeived €200. They were; Maureen White, Clonmines and A Kerin, Saltmills. The numbers drawn were 13, 15, 18 and 23. Next week’s jackpot willbe €4,700 and next week’s match thre winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and pubs and from committee members.

SENIOR CITZENS PARTY

This year’s Senior Citzens Christmas party will be held in Tír na nÓg, Wellington­bridge on Sunday next, December 9, at two o’clock. Those from the St Leonards Parish area wishing to attend can contact, Margaret, Kay or Esther if you wish to attend.

TINTERN REVIEW

The parish magazine ‘Tintern Review’ is on sale in all local shops. The magazine is once again full of many stories and photograph­s of local interest again this year. The comittee would like to sincerely thank everyone who contribute­d to the magazine.
