A lot of fun at school open day
CATHERINE MCAULEY Junior School opened its doors to interested parents and their children last week.
Future pupils made themselves at home straight away pulling back the sliding doors and taking out the toys hidden in the presses in the junior infants classrooms. They discovered a treasure trove of toys in Ms Moynihan’s classroom and then moved on to the other rooms.
The children are looking forward to coming back again to visit and play on Wednesday, June 12, and the following Wednesday, June 19.
Principal Elma Sutton said: ‘ This will make life easier for everybody. Starting school should be a happy, exciting step into the future.’
